Leg Orthosis
Leg orthosis is a supporting device that allows the patient to walk if he has lost the control on his leg muscles and knee joint. The purpose of leg orthosis is to support the patient’s leg in order to be able to stand, walk, and do similar movements when he can’t control the movement of his knee and ankle joint.

- Spinal cord injuries that result in paralysis.

- Loss of muscle control in the legs.

1.The Unilateral Joint System
- It is one of the newest types that are recommended for the patients who have used orthosis device before.
- Compared to other orthotic Devices, this one is lighter by 2-3 times.
- Instead of having two locks at the two sides of the knee and ankle joint, this type supports the leg from the outside only. That’s why, it is more suitable to use because of its lock mechanism.
- This orthotic leg is the newest type of mechanic system that is produced by Ottobock. It is fully made of carbon fiber.

2.E-MAG Active Electronically Controlled Knee Joint System
- E-MAG Active Ottobock orthotic leg is the first type that works by an electronic system with microprocessor.
- This orthotic leg produced by ottobock provides full electronic control to the patient in the knee joint.
- E–MAG Active device can be used to walk safely because of the knee joint movement which works by a smart sensor system.
- This orthotic leg provides more stable and comfortable standing position thanks to the high-level locking system where the knee joint locks automatically without needing to extend the leg fully.

I had my prosthesis made in Manisa 2 years ago. I was constantly experiencing redness and itching on my stump.
